Workshops 

Tinta nos Nervos' actions comprehend a varied body of workshops, mostly dedicated to the same areas of expertise and interest of the bookstore and gallery. Whether tailored to experienced practioners or newcomers, to children or adults, or even children and adults, we will sail any river that will lead to creativity!

Please note that all workshops take place at the terrace, unless the weather is against it. Only the instructors and trainees actually enrolled may attend the course. We are following all the safety and hygiene procedures in place today in relation to venues, social distancing and cleaning materials.

Graphic Memory

In this workshop, we will create a short graphic narrative based on memory – whether historical, subjective, individual or collective.

The story of your uncle who went to war, your own experience of going to work in another country, your grandmother recounting the hunger she endured, the friendship that developed with the man who sold kebabs near your home, or any memory you’d like to explore and bring to life on paper.

We’ll work on interpreting, scripting and transforming these memories into a comic strip, in an intensive 3-hour session where we’ll guide each individual creation, from the initial idea to the final format, and from expression to technique.
