The second volume of the planned series of four, the political fable with animals continues. The harsh winter imposes forced labor on all (or almost all) the inhabitants of the farm, in a supposed rebalancing of society, always threatened by the fearsome "wolves" from the outside. A small group of animal-workers takes more decisive steps in search of social justice, but divisions are beginning to be noticed. Sarcasm towards the leader does not solve much. Fear always arises in many ways. The philosophy of non-violence of Miss Bangalore and Azélar the rat are good principles, but it is very difficult to accept this premise when the cold bites the legs, hunger the entrails, and the death of those who are dearest to us destroys what is left.
Hope is the last to die, but that means that a lot of suffering is announced before it is its turn.
