Catalogue of the exhibition of William Copley (1919-1966) at the Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden. It presents about 80 works by this artist, who was also a gallerist, author, editor and an important mediator between surrealist movements and Pop art. His images explore the theme of the erotic game between man and woman and all its variants, related to the absurdity of love and its crimes, the worship of idols or the belief in symbols. In the artist's words, "The main idea of my comedy is to be caught being unfaithful".
