"Érections Présidentielles" is a work of political and erotic satire by the Dutch cartoonist Willem. The book explores with subversive humor the secret ties between politics and libido, presenting a "catalogue of debauchery" of the French Fifth Republic. Through his characteristic and biting stroke, Willem caricatures figures such as Chirac, Mitterrand, Sarkozy and Macron, reducing them to beings of vices and flesh to suggest that the quest for power is, in itself, the most potent of aphrodisiacs.
