The third issue of Tongues begins with a tense and magnificently portrayed exchange between the Prisoner and the Swan King. We learn more about the lives and stories of Astrid, the mysterious orphan on a mission, and drifter Teddy Roosevelt, whose kidnapping takes a dangerous turn. The characters' involvements are woven into panels constructed from Nilsen's fantastical plant shapes and crystalline geometric polygons. This is the third installment in a planned eight-part series that is, in part, a retelling of the Greek myth of Prometheus, set in the present-day Middle East.
