In 1941, many Lithuanians were deported by Soviet Russia to "labor camps" in austere Siberia. This book recounts the experiences of one of these deportations from the perspective of a young man, Algis, father of author Jurga Vilé. In the wake of many war memories in contemporary comics, the scale here is not the encompassing historical one, but rather the one on the ground floor, of the small achievements but also of the constant fears lived in these fields. The many acts of solidarity between families and friends who accompany each other, but also the new ones that are made. The whimsical, stylized, colorful and variegated style of the artist Itagaki brings a sense of children's fantasy and some Lithuanian popular production that perfectly translates this perspective. Surprising, moving, and even entertaining in the heart of this harrowing pain, an excellent addition to the genre.
