Building stories. Chris Ware. (Box)
In English, 246 pages distributed in publications of various sizes, in a cardboard box; 29.5 x 5x 42.5 cm. Jonathan Cape.
This is a single story, a unified narrative, about two characters: a young woman who moved into an apartment in a historic Chicago brownstone building and that same building. We fly through the consciences and memories of both, throughout their life stories, with small detours by other parallel characters, whether it is a semi-brute neighbor or a bee raising a family in the flowers of the patio in front. Published in various publications and formats, this box brings together all the materials related to the series, preserving this materiality: it includes carton books and paperback magazines, a screen, a leporello of strips, in a total of 14 objects, which the reader can enjoy at his own free will, building the crossed puzzles of these lives
