Gallery
The Gallery is a fundamental dimension of the action of the Tinta nos Nervos.
It aims to present and value the practices of drawing, illustration and comics, and regularly highlight the activity of creators from different generations, origins and backgrounds who move around the universe of the book, maintaining a concerted and contaminating program with the choice presented in a bookstore.
The gallery space has 40m2 and consists of two rooms of different sizes that allow it to simultaneously host exhibitions or differentiated events that can be extended to other areas of the building, such as the bar/multipurpose room or the terrace.
The gallery's programming is organized according to a two-term strategy, with long exhibitions and more in-depth work on an author or group of authors, a theme or publication, and with lightning shows, punctual, which extend for a maximum of one week, which work as a radar for determined creative actions and initiatives.
As a curatorial collective, Tinta occasionally integrates proposals made by other curators, artists or institutions, always fostering the logic of partnerships and collaborations that is at its genesis.
Integrated in the traditional neighborhood of Madragoa, the gallery seeks to contribute to the dynamics of artistic and cultural circulation in the city and in the country, maintaining a permanently accessible and cross-border intervention via the web, through a site with an online viewing and sales platform, that we present here.
